It is winter season in Hawaii, and that means big surf. They held the Eddie Aikau at Waimea Bay in hugh surf. The same day Jaws on Maui was going off in 30 to 40 ft surf. I was talking to Mike Parson in Oahu at Pipeline. He was mentioning that it was bigger at Jaws in 2004, with 60 to 70 ft surf.
I took a week and a half off from the office to surf and work on my 2-acres. The weather has been just beautiful. So the Pipeline Masters is on at Banazai Pipeline. My son is involved with a lot of Pros on the Da-Kine surf team, so I thought I would join him to watch the contest yesterday. The day before it was 6 to 8 ft with 10 ft sets, which means 20ft faces. The day we arrived the swell drop, so they are in holding period till tomorrow. So I thought I would take a few beach pictures. There actually was some great surf going on.

It was a great day on the northshore. I wish I was staying a few days more, but I have to head back to Maui. Even know I have a week and half off from work. It's hard to get away from work. Working on closing a couple escrows in Wailea, and Canadian clients looking at properties in Wailea. Well tomorrow is another day. Swell is picking up with perfect weather condition, means 6 am surf session and then fire up the computer and watch the rest of the contest. If you would like to check it out, www.aspprosurfing.com.
Well life on Maui is not bad, if you are looking for Maui real estate, with 36 years on Maui, I know my way around the island. So for now Aloha and have a great day.
